Hey you all, the very pretty winter issue of Meridian is out, and I have a story called “Silver Lake” in it. This story is an excerpt of the novel I’m working on, so now’s a good chance to get a peek at that.
There is a digital version of it floating around out there, but they haven’t linked to it yet, so I will wait for them to make that available. I will be sure to send the link when it’s up. In the meantime, if you’d like to read the story, please support this fantastic publication and order a copy.
The skeleton was half under water, covered by brown lake gunk Crystal French wiped away with her jacket. Binny watched. They were friends who had shoplifted together so many times in school that as adults they could communicate the important things with eyes and hands—heads up, watch your back, you are essential in all of this.
